I almost cried when I read that the Bush/Republican agenda for a second Bush term (pending re-election of course) may include the elimination of the IRS and the current tax system. The new tax system would be a national sales tax, value added tax, or a similar alternative. It would be a long and tough battle to get such a change to pass, but I can only hope that the attempt is made. Read more.
