NYC: Update

We got back late last night after driving all day back from New York City. We had a really great time seeing the sites and just being all around tourists.

The purpose of the trip was two-fold, Beth and I had been talking about visiting New York for a long time, but didn't seem to find time to actually fit it in the schedule, then a few months ago Thomas emailed me to tell me he'd be in New York for a few days in June and wanted us to come up to visit...so, we did.

The drive actually wasn't very bad, all you do is set your iPod on shuffle and just keep driving 95N. Speaking of iPods, it looked like it was a required accessory if you live there, I swear everyone had one...even the homeless people. :) The Apple store in NY is making a killing (pictures of the Apple store are also included in the zip file, it definitely stands out).

Anyway, we're back. We were there for a few days and STILL didn't get to do everything we wanted to do.

Here are my few recommendations if you plan to visit soon:

1. Take two showers a day
2. Work on your walking stamina
3. Familiarize yourself with the "train" system (aka subway)
4. Take a camera
5. Buy tickets to shows/attractions online before you go
6. Get a hotel close to the subway

Josh: If you're reading this, I took a picture of a bus with an Opie and Anthony ad on it, and a picture of Caroline's for you (the second came out really blurry, but I tried).

Russel: We ate at Teany, there's a couple pictures of Teany in the file, and I also took a picture of Paul's Boutique.
Download pictures. (Zip file ~300 MB)
