NIN Retires...

In other news that will make you feel old, Trent Reznor is ritiring the NIN bands in the next few days, with the final shows coming up in the LA area. I still remember listening to Pretty Hate Machine and Broken nonstop for almost a year

Anyway, I don't think you can keep a creative guy like that down for long. Maybe he's just retiring from touring, and will keep making music in his studio? Who knows...

If no new music comes out, then I guess it was fun while it lasted.

PS3 News rundown

Sony had a lot of great news yesterday, for the majority of people, it's the $100 price cut. I certainly hope it helps increase the PS3 userbase, I got mine for about $300, almost a year ago now with a promotion that Sony was doing at the time. To me, the $100 savings did make a big difference.

I certainly love the system, no complaints. One of the coolest features is definitely streaming from a media server.

Anyway, here's the PS3 News rundown, which also includes tidbits of the new 3.0 firmware coming. Also note, the new PS3 slim does not have Linux compatability, so if you want to install Linux/MAME on your PS3, pick up a current model, which also includes the price cut!

With news of the XBox railure rate, maybe we will get more users (not to say that if someone gave me an xbox, or I got one really cheap that I wouldn't use it!)

Haven't gotten to watch all of these yet, but Chuck is a great show! I'm glad it's coming back for a third season. If you haven't seen the first two seasons, I know at least the first one is on DVD. Time to catch up through Netflix, Blockbuster, or whatever...

HALO Anime Teaser

If you can believe it, I've never played HALO, but not because I haven't been interested. Mostly because I've never had an XBox or a 360, and my computer's too old to run them at playable levels...same problem with Gears of War. I'll have to upgrade someday.

DJ Shadow on DJ Hero

This definitely looks like it'd be fun to play. DJ Shadow is one of my all-time favorite musicians. Before I listened to his work, I would have never considered the turn-table to be in instrument, but the way that he manipulates the sounds coming from his records is ridiculous.

GI Joe and Transformers Complete Collections

SHOUT Factory is releasing complete collections of Transformers (G1), and GI Joe. I've already ordered the Transformers box set, and am on the fence for GI Joe. Anyway, they're both about $140 apiece.
